Ongoing journal club, you can join anytime:

The Rural Emergency Medicine Journal Club is aimed at physicians who provide emergency medicine care in rural BC and in small urban areas and will cover five new and relevant emergency medicine articles. The participants are both urban and rural from across the province. The moderators are emergency physicians or specialists in rural practice.

New this year, the series of topics will run over the fall 2017 for one semester only. The first session starts in September 2017. Please note that is an introduction to the course platform that will run concurrent with Session 1. Each of the subsequent topic sessions will run for three weeks.

SEP 5 2017 Introductory Session
SEP 5 Session 1
SEP 25 Session 2
OCT 16 Session 3
NOV 6 Session 4
NOV 27 Session 5

Each session will run for three (3) weeks. The session starts with an initial post on the journal club website by the Moderator, summarizing an academic article or a case study. Participants will then engage in discussion online responding to each others’ comments on the website. This is asynchronous, so you can visit the website at any time that suits your schedule, using any device with an internet connection. To make the most of this learning experience we suggest you visit the website approximately twice per week to read others’ comments and add to the discussion.
